Hey All,
Let me tell you all a little story – there once was a single dude… looking just enjoy life for a while… I didn’t know that God had other plans for me as He dropped this girl into my path…
well worse than just dropping her into my life it was a short time before she’d be moving out of state for a while… we dated as much as we could be for she left town, thanks to sound advice from her dad – parents once in a while provide good advice that we as kids should listen to…
well, we had much fun together got to know a little bit about our individual stories… we had both been involved in youth work at our churches… we both figured we grew up very different… me outdoors/sports and her more into the sci-fi world and reading…
the short story is we talked and courted… and eventually got married – actually that was all pretty fast… but God’s timeline and ours are not allows the same… it’s nice to report that this timeline was faster then i would have imagined (thankfully)…
it’s been a few years now – they are flying by to say the least… We have grown closer to each other and share in raising some pretty cool kids… but what i am constantly amazed at is her her love…
we have our struggles you aren’t doing something right if you aren’t struggling in some area of your life… learning has to take work/effort… but through our struggles we focus on active love as described in 1 Cor. 13:4-7
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.5 It is not rude, it is not self‑seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
we pray together, we talk, we enjoy each other – to achieve a closer relationship i have to focus on being better at producing fruit – a work in progress but it’s a great journey with my support, encouraging, and loving wife…
I thank God for the gift that she is to me – I thank you my bride for your listening to God’s direction…
the real short story here folks is that my wife is a rocking gift from God!!!
Enjoy the people in your life,

Beautiful! “Enjoy the people in your life” I like that. It’s not always as easy as it sounds, but I’m striving for it.

It is not easy to say the least… BUT God has put them there for a reason and maybe only a season…
